Rape Statistics A woman is raped every minute in the US.
44% of rapes happen before the age of 18 1 in 6 woman has been a victim of an attempted rape or completed rape in her lifetime. 17,342 pregnancies occurred as a result of a rape in 2012. 1 in 33 men will experience an attempted or completed rape in their lifetime. Why do they do it? On April 14th In Plainfield NJ elderly woman was robbed sexually assaulted in her home. She was 86 years old. On May 19th Robert Mikelson’s youngest victim of sexual assault was announced . He was 19 days old. Power & Domination are the motivating factors in rape, not sex or sex drive.

Brock Turner's Stanford Rape Case
The Assault, January 18, 2015 Two graduate students found Turner raping the woman, who was half-naked, outside a fraternity house around 1 a.m. They chased after Turner and held him down until police arrived. According to the victim, she had decided to accompany her younger sister to a party, though she had initially planned to stay home. After the assault, she woke up at a hospital and learned the details of her assault from the press.

Prevention Tips Set up a safe room where you sleep

Human Trafficking Modern Day Slavery
Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery, and involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to exploit human beings for some type of labor or commercial sex purpose. Victims are often lured with false promises of well-paying jobs or are manipulated by people they trust, but instead are forced or coerced into prostitution, domestic servitude, farm or factory labor, or other types of forced labor. Each year about 17,500 individuals are brought into the United States and held against their will as victims of human trafficking.
