A piece of bratwurst sausage is 8 inches long. How many pieces of sausage can be cut from the 8 inch piece of sausage if each piece is to be 2/3 of an inch? Ms. Swanson has 40 pairs of shoes. 6/8 of her shoes are high heels. How many of her shoes are high heeled?

In a library, ½ of the books are fiction. Of those fiction books, 1/4 are realistic fiction. What fraction of the books in the library are realistic fiction? A construction worker has 16m of wood. He cuts the wood into pieces that are ½m long. How many pieces did he cut? A painter used 4/5 of a can of paint to paint 8 birdhouses. He used the same amount of paint to paint each birdhouse. How much of a can did he use for each birdhouse? A recipe requires 1/3 cups of milk. If I make 6 batches of the recipe, how much milk will I need? 5. If it takes 2/5 yards of material to make a shirt, how many yards will it take to make 7 shirts?
