Cooling System Brooke Conrad Du$tyyyyyyyy
2
Refrigeration Systems
Step 1: the refrigeration fluid is pumped into the cooling unit where it is forced through a tiny opening to evaporate and draw heat Step 2: The gas is then directed outside the cooling unit to the coils located in the back.
3
Refrigeration systems (continued)
Step 3:As the gas condenses into the coils, heat is given off to the surrounding air. Step 4: The liquid returns to the cooling unit and the cycle continues.
4
A motor pumps the fluid through the system, where it enters the processes of evaporization and condensation A cooling system simply pumps heat from one part of the unit to the other

Questions Do you have cooling systems in your home?
If so, what are they? -When you put your hands near the back of a refrigerator, why do you feel heat coming off of it? -Why is a refrigerator a “heat pump”?

Questions (continued)
