6
Transmission means Situation on 15/7/2009
All detailed data has been transmitted by using a physical storage (CDROM, DVD, USB key…) exchanged either by normal post or at meetings … except … Egypt : uses eDAMIS for monthly files Turkey : uses eDAMIS for monthly detailed data files Algeria : to sent via eDAMIS Israel – imports : to sent via eDAMIS
7
Prerequisites for regular data transmission
Achieve full DocCoop400 rev2 (2007) compliance For each period, a single archive file (zip) containing 2 files : detailed data file : MX;1;2006;02;FR;;220421;80000;5000;4000;LTR text file (fields delimited by a separator or fixed length fields) order of fields defined by DocCoop400 file with totals : ;03;MX;1;17,162,104 2006;03;MX;2;15,021,965 Excel file (or, for instance : text with separators) [preference is : text file] contains for each period the total of trade value for each flow 5 fields : year, month, declaring country, flow, value a file for 1 declaring country and 1 period contains 2 records (1 per flow) Transmission mean : eDAMIS (“electronic Data files Administration and Management Information System”, = standard entry point at Eurostat)
8
Domain / dataset (=target table) :
eDAMIS Domain / dataset (=target table) : training support = phone= Currently To be switched to Domain MEDCOMEX COMEXT Dataset MEDCOMEX_BULETIN_S COMEXT_XTCOM_M
9
Other recommendations for the future
Transmit national product nomenclatures, if possible with labels (EN, FR, national language … when available) Use HS6 version corresponding to year of reference period Fill in mandatory fields (net mass, quantity in SU, SU) Improve automation of production process…
10
Proposed calendar By end of March 2011 Fulfil prerequisites
Transmission of 2008 and 2009 data By October 2011 Start regular transmission of 2010 data (“regular” = when available, e.g. monthly) 2012 Transmission of all revisions
11
Metadata transmission
Questionnaire Answers expected by 31 January 2011 to and to
