Goal 1: Read goal Is it SMART? Is it short, mid, or long term? Read plan & actions Make suggestions on plan & actions During the processing time, students pair up with a neighbor and confer by each partner sharing a one-sentence summary of what they feel was the most important part of the lecture. Then students compare each other’s notes and fill in their notes with ideas from their partner’s notes. During the third step, students seek to clarify by recording questions they have after re-reading their notes. Debrief the C3 exercise by having students ask their clarifying questions and share out ideas that they borrowed from their partner’s notes. SUMMER PARTNERS

What happens if your teacher gives you a note page that is not written in the Cornell style?? Option 1: Rewrite them Option 2: Use post-it notes (these have been ordered) for your essential questions and/or summary What if I’m just taking notes in class? Use Cornell Notes!!! 

13 Cornell Notes – Grades Yes! These are graded These will also be random
Examples of what I may ask for: Pull out 2 Cornell note sheets of your English class Pull out 4 Cornell note sheets from any class
