Our Goals: We don’t expect you’ll leave as DLMS experts; but we hope you’ll: Know What the DLMS Are & Their Importance Know The key Components of the DLMS How the DLMS bring interoperability to a worldwide network of trading partners The essentiality of the DLMS to the key DOD business, initiatives like FIAR, SFIS, IUID, etc. Where to find help when you need it How you and your organizations can participate in the DLMS management process. Ground Rules: Have fun, be engaged, ask questions Understand this day is the start of a relationship not the end – we’re just a phone call or away and in some of you cases just a few steps. Welcome: Good morning I’m Heidi the Director of DLMSO. It’s my pleasure to welcome all of you. We’re very excited to be able to offer you this class this today. I want to complement each of you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to learn about the DLMS. I’m very pleased to see several members of the OSD staff here as the work we all do is interdependent. Our Goal: We have no expectation that you will be DLMS experts by the end of the day. If that were the case you wouldn’t need us anymore. However, we do hope that at the end of the day you have an appreciation for: What the DLMS are and why they are essential within our complex global supply chain The key components of the DLMS. That is, the policies and organizations essential to bringing the DLMS to life. How the DLMS bring interoperability to a worldwide network of trading partners. The essentiality of the DLMS to the key DOD business, initiatives like FIAR, SFIS, IUID, etc. Where to find help when you need it. And how you and your organizations participate in the DLMS management process.
