Using OVO Shuffle Prototype Shuffle is based on an index card and bulletin board metaphor Any user can enter a card which contains one piece of data, one trend, one conversation which is tagged and filed with key words An analyst can create a bulletin board or topic board to gather and analyze all information about the topic or issue

3. Entering a new Card Click New Card to enter a new data point or trend Enter title and description. Identify source of information and add keywords. Define the type of information: trend, data, tip, estimate, conversation, etc Tag the card with company provided key words and tags Enter a new card which contains one piece of data, one trend or one conversation. This information is tagged and has keywords associated with it. The user can identify the source of the information and attach a file or document to the card. This card is then filed in the database. 1 2 3

4. Entering a new card Complete the data on the card Press Save Details The card is saved to the database and can be found in the tree on the left under Unassigned in the tree since it has not been assigned to any topic board yet The Tags and Keywords drop lists allow you to add a new Tag or Keyword or use one from an existing list.

5. Entering a new bulletin board Click New Topic to enter a new bulletin board Enter title and description. Identify bulletin board sponsor and validity dates. The bulletin board or topic board allows an analyst or product manager to create a space to research a particular topic and assemble all the cards or data about the topic from the database in one location. 2 1

6. Adding a card to a board Find a card youd like to add in the tree view Click on the card and drag it in the board you want to add it to To add a card to a board, you can select the card from the tree and drag the card to the appropriate board, either within the tree or to the open board. You can also add the card to the board directly when you create the card using a droplist selection.

7. Viewing a Topic Board Click on Concepts for a new cell phone in the tree at the left See the Cards that are already attached to this topic board View an existing topic board. In this case, well look at a topic board about new cell phone design. See that there are already cards associated with this topic board that define issues or items about the topic. 1 2

8. Viewing a specific card on a topic board Click on the sign on any card on a topic board On any topic board you can view a specific card in more detail by clicking on the symbol at the top right of the card. View the details of the card

9. Defining the relevance of information on a topic Click on the topic tab on the card on a topic board On any topic board you can view a the rationale for attaching a card to a board and how relevant and important the information is to the topic board. This information is specific to the card on a particular board. View and update information about the relevance and importance of the information on the card on this topic board

10. Managing cards on a topic board Click on a card and drag the card On any topic board you can re-arrange the card order. Click on the card youd like to move and drag it to its new location.

11. Viewing a topic board as a list Click on the list view on the topic board You can change the view of a topic board by clicking on the List/Small Cards/ Large Cards links at the bottom of the topic board.

12. Using the tree view on the left hand margin See the tree view on the left margin In the tree view, you can expand or collapse the views and see the cards, topic boards and filters available. Filters are presented with icons which appear as filters. Topic boards are represented by small white squares with colored squares internal to the white square. Cards are represented by colored rectangles. Different types of cards have different colors. Any icon with a star indicates the item was added recently.

13. Using the Tree View You can drag a card from the tree view to a topic board or vice versa You can copy a card from one topic board to another topic board Filters help the user identify appropriate cards to add to a topic board. Filters can be defined and saved for reuse. Filters are not active in this version.
