Correct MLA format!!
Times New Roman, 12 pt. font
Research Question, Thesis, 3 Body Thesis Statements (full sentences)
2 pieces of evidence per BTS
1 piece of analysis per piece of evidence (2 encouraged)

**Extra notes/reminders**
Font should be Times New Roman, 12pt. NO EXCEPTIONS!
May do single or double spaced for outlines, but final paper and rough drafts should be double spaced.
You may use the template and replace the information with your information.
You should have 3 body thesis statements with 2 pieces of evidence for each BTS!
Work on paraphrasing your evidence. Even primary sources can be paraphrased, especially if it is a long quote. Quote should NOT be more than 2 lines.
Only your Thesis and Body Thesis statements need to be in full sentences. You may simplify and bullet point your evidence and analysis.

Now comes the hard part. Look at the categories you created for your research. Which one do you want to talk about first?
Write a BTS for it and place it here. (Make sure it looks like a thesis and has an argument).

Choose your first piece of evidence that helps support your first BTS and place it here.
Remember, paraphrase and simplify as much as possible.

Now, how are you going to explain that evidence and tie it back to your thesis?
Figure that out and make a brief note about it here.
This does not need to be full sentences.

Repeat this process until you have 3 Body Thesis statements with 2 pieces of evidence (and accompanying analysis) for each.

Then go here and make sure there is a period, not ) after the roman numeral.
If you do not have a roman numeral as level 1, choose it from the drop down menu here.
The check the font here and choose times new roman, 12 pt.

Then go here and make sure there is a period, not ) after the capital letter.
If you do not have a capital letter as level 2, choose it from the drop down menu here.

Then go here and make sure there is a period, not ) after the number.
If you do not have a number as level 3, choose it from the drop down menu here.
The check the font here and choose times new roman, 12 pt.
Then hit ok.

Now that your list is selected and ready, write your first BTS the hit Enter.
Your list will do this
Simply hit the Tab key and it will do this.

Write your evidence the Enter/Tab again to add your analysis.
