How to begin. To start the thesis, write the three bullet points above for your topic. After which, you will write a thesis following the a-b-c order. Then, you will rewrite your thesis statement twice more, altering the order of the thesis statement. Mathematically, the options are: A-C-B B-A-C B-C-A C-A-B C-B-A

Example 1 for an essay on preserving threatened languages and their relationships to their own cultures and culture in the world as a whole. (Parentheses indicate definition) The growing extinction of indigenous languages poses a major threat to cultural awareness in the world. In order to foster (create and maintain) cultural awareness, linguists (people who study language) must record these languages, either orally or written, to preserve diverse understandings of the world that surrounds humans. It would be an injustice to these cultures and the world as a whole if their languages disappear because both the culture and world would lose understanding of these cultures.

Example 1 for an essay on preserving threatened languages and their relationships to their own cultures and culture in the world as a whole. (Parentheses indicate definition) A - The growing extinction of indigenous languages poses a major threat to cultural awareness in the world. C -In order to foster (create and maintain) cultural awareness, linguists (people who study language) must record these languages, either orally or written, to preserve diverse understandings of the world that surrounds humans. B - It would be an injustice to these cultures and the world as a whole if their languages disappear because both the culture and world would lose understanding of these cultures.

Example 2 for an essay on preserving threatened languages and their relationships to their own cultures and culture in the world as a whole. (Parentheses indicate definition) Linguists need to preserve threatened indigenous languages as they offer perspectives into diverseworlds. These languages help to articulate culturally-rooted concepts and when they are lost, so, too, are major parts of these cultures, which creates an injustice because cultures worldwide are losing fundamental parts of their identities.

Example 2 for an essay on preserving threatened languages and their relationships to their own cultures and culture in the world as a whole. (Parentheses indicate definition) C - Linguists need to preserve threatened indigenous languages as they offer perspectives into diverse worlds. A - These languages help to articulate culturally-rooted concepts and when they are lost, so, too, are major parts of these cultures, B - which creates an injustice because cultures worldwide are losing fundamental parts of their identities.

Example 3 for an essay on preserving threatened languages and their relationships to their own cultures and culture in the world as a whole. (Parentheses indicate definition) Language shapes perspective, and when languages are lost, so are human perspectives. It is important linguists preserve indigenous languages so they are able to better understand the myriad (many) worldviews cultures hold toward their values, beliefs, and perceptions. In a truly just world, every culture’s language would be recorded so the world would better understand its many groups of people.
