2. Young Andersen
Hans Christian Andersen was born on April 2nd 1805 in Denmark.
He died on August 4th He was 70 years old.
When young he went to school but had to work as well.
Andersen worked as a weaver’s apprentice and later for a tailor.
At 14 he started working as an actor.

3. Young Andersen In 1822 he started to write poems and short stories.
He published the first fairy tales in 1835 which to these days are very popular.
His stories have been translated in 150 languages.
