3 What happens to sailors separating?
They will no longer be covered by the UOCAVA. Separating sailors & their family members need to notify the local election official of the change in voter registration status and update personal information in order to vote locally.

4 Change Voter Registration Status
If the sailor stays the same voting residence after separation: Notify the election official of your change in status and that you will be voting at the poll site in future elections. If the sailor is moving to a new state or county after separation Notify the election official of your change in status and that you will no longer be voting in that jurisdiction. Complete a National Voter Registration Form
