Did everyone like democracy & How did the people eventually lose power? Sometimes people persuaded voters to vote unwisely and make bad decisions. Often times, the assembly would reverse important decisions after only a couple of weeks because of these issues, most city states returned to older types of governments such as an oligarchy or a tyranny
