3. Categorical Programs
Categorical programs are designed to improve and enhance the regular education program for specific groups of students.
Categorical money is used to provide extra support for students above and beyond the regular program.
Rule is supplement not supplant.

4. Categorical Funding
Categorical allocations are based on formula provided by the program.
Site allocations are subject to student enrollment and student demographics.
When student enrollment changes, program needs change and services are realigned.

Reduction in Categorical funding. There are only six in the district. All other sites have previously eliminated this position.

Elimination of two Preschool classes due to reduced Preschool funding.
