This is the last session of these series.
Today we will briefly explain Christianity to the method of Simon Sinek.
Afterwards we will have a dinner or celebration and everyone who is interested can subscribe to the next series called: ‘Alpha Business’.
Alpha Business is about businesspeople meeting businesspeople to share their thoughts about meaning, purpose and the role faith can play in their daily lives.

3. Why? God’s dream for this world
Creation of the earth
Re-creation of the earth
The Kingdom of God is the message of Jesus
God’s dream for this world is paradise as described in Genesis, Revelations and the visions in Isaiah.
This is why He started with earth. A place to live on and enjoy life, with all that is needed.
Man involved in his own happiness, welfare, peace and well-being.
Jesus calls this the Kingdom of God and talked about the features and what it looks like.
Healing, blessing, setting free, caring, releasing, loving, compassion, full of grace, forgiving, restoring, full of wisdom, power and discernment.
It is the complete restoration of man and the world, according to His words and God’s character.
(Revelations 21; Isaiah 11 and 65); (Matthew 4:23- 7:29 ; Luke 4: 18 – 21).
The Kingdom is the dominion of Jesus.
Jesus is the Kingdom.
In Him the Kingdom became present, in Him we see the characteristics of the Kingdom.
He lived and taught it.
Jesus is the King.
Jesus made it possible for us to attend, this Kingdom
Jesus is the guarantee it will work, because He survived on this earth and kept pure. He is the victor of evil.
It starts in our hearts.

4. Why? God’s dream for you
Being formed to the image and likeness of Jesus Christ
Who was Jesus Christ and do you want to look like him?
Good, glorious, full of compassion, moved with people, full of peace, love, mercy, wisdom, justice, etc.
God wants us to be humans to the likeness and image of His Son.
(Romans 8: 29; 2 Corinthians 3 : 18)

5. How to participate in God’s dream
Cleanse
A perfect world does not tolerate my imperfection
New nature
Because I can start again every day, but cannot completely change myself
Jesus Christ is the key
Cross and Spirit
How could we participate in God’s dream as we desire?
1. We need to get rid of all our bad and evil habits.
We need to get rid of all bad things we have done in the past and still influence society and people.
So, if we want to enter a pure, righteousness and good world then we need the cleansing and the purifying of me and this world.
Get rid of the past and its influence -> restoration, starts with forgiveness.
2. When we start every day again, clean and pure, new evil and failure will occur.
(like all the intentions you have made so many times on New Year’s Day)
We need a new nature, a new spirit.
God will give us both.
Jesus carried our evil, sickness and brokenness. He dealt with this on the cross.
He did it in our place and carried the cleansing and purification.
If we choose to join Him, share and participate in the dream, He also gives us a new spirit (the Holy Spirit).
This Spirit will put us in a process of change and renewal.
He reflects on our life, He brings stuff up we need to deal with, to become a person who looks more like Jesus.
This process is granted to us during our entire life.
3. In our physical death, spiritual death and the death of the world is needed for a new world to begin.
Death is not the end, it is a new start and a daily process in our life of renewal.

6. What? Loving relationships
God is a God of community (creation and existence)
Loving relationships are His starting point

We are welcome to live together in unity with and to know and to love God
God is known by Jesus Christ
This eternal life is a quality
1. God is community and love (3 in 1).
It is like a holy dance. Tim Keller:
We are invited in this dance of Father, Son and Spirit.
2. Our daily life will be about loving relationships and community.
Meaning of life and happiness is found in these relationships.
God is willing to bring them to their existence as referred.
Golden rule: Always treat others, as you would like them to treat you.
Great commandment: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind and love your neighbour as yourself.
3. To be part of God’s glorious present, is the divine goal. (Romans 8: 14-18)
The wedding of the lamb is the highlight. (Revelation 19:5-9)
Our call is to share in the life of His son Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 1:9)

8. A Christian is:
Someone who accepts Jesus as King over every area of his life
Someone who wants to change and be formed to the image and likeness of Jesus Christ
Someone who embraces God's dream with heart and soul and longs for His Kingdom. In all brokenness he wants to make God's dream visible on this earth because he is gripped by it
Someone who loves all people for the sake of love and would like them to flourish and reach their destination

9. Important Characteristics
Fundamentally it is about God’s grace, instead of our work
God and heaven are coming to earth, instead of man working his way to heaven
Change of human nature is possible by His Spirit
God longs for relationship and not for rituals, religion or work for God
1. It doesn’t depend on us, but on what God did and will do in our lives.
We are not accepted by what we do, but by grace, by what God did.
We didn't clime to heaven, Jesus came to earth.
Every other religion is about what you do, to enter heaven. Christianity is about what God did to restore earth and we are a part of it.
2. Heaven is a temporary place, where God lives and Jesus reigns and where the people are who died in Christ. But heaven will come to earth.
God’s place to live will be on earth among His people. There will be a new earth and a new heaven and a resurrection of the dead.
3. Intimacy with, Lordship of, listening to, sharing with……………….
God is inversed in us, loves us and wanst to share His life with us.
God is really interested, compassionated and full of love.
His loves goes to everyone, but if you want to receive it, it needs an answer.
When you receive a present, you need to accept and unpack it.
If someone wants to love you, you need to open your heart for it.
We live for God and others.
Our fulfilment and happiness is not in pleasure, kicks and ourselves but in the relationship with God and others.
This needs a new nature (process of growth).
