All the visited schools are serving Mid Day Meal. Buffer stock s maintained in 55% schools in Lunglei No discrimination noticed in both districts. Cook-cum-helper paid Rs.1500/- p.m. None of the schools received the cooking cost in advance due to which the schools purchase MDM items on credit at higher prices. Contd.. 90% schools in lunglei and 92% in Serchhip were never inspected. Honorarium to Cook-cum-helpers is paid on quarterly basis.
