8. What is a Counterargument?
Counterarguments are part of good persuasive writing and speaking strategy because they show that you've considered other points of view.
They also set up the chance to refute the opposition and show why your position is the right one to have.
Placing a counterargument in your persuasive essay increases your ethos (credibility) because it shows fairness.

Restate your thesis in one complete sentence
Restate your two reasons in one complete sentence.
Why is your essay important to readers? Why should they do/believe what your thesis says? Or a call to action or recommendation

Watching football is one of America’s favorite past times. It is not only enormously popular but also incredibly beneficial to society. I look forward to watching this amazing competition every Fall and winning my Fantasy Football league once again!
