The Memory Masters Project was designed to offer a way for every person in Pennsylvania
to record, preserve and share what is important to them both now and in the future.

2. Memory Masters Project Guide
Goals:
Provide a system whereby communities can collect and preserve the rich history around them
Provide a way for communities to organize and describe these digitized pieces of history
Provide a place for communities to store and display their materials
Provide a means for others to discover and use these digitized resources
Results:
Developed a guide to Digitizing History, covering best practices for creating and converting materials, as well as sample equipment and software lists
Working with CONTENTdm, available through PA Power Library, created step-by-step instructions for set-up and usage, and developed a complete metadata template
Created a Sample Collection, with full metadata records, for institutions to use as examples for their own collections
