Re-engagement Lesson Example 1
3rd grade class Teacher completed running records Data showed 4 students who are still learning diphthong /oi/ FE3 candidate developed a short re-engagement mini-lesson on diphthongs Used a formative assessment to determine student learning (each student read two sentences that contained several /oi/)

Re-engagement Lesson Example 2
6th grade math class Last chapter test showed 3 students were still learning how to find the area of triangles FE3 candidate designed a short re-engagement mini- lesson for these students Used a formative assessment (exit slip) at the end to gauge student learning. Students completed one problem independently
