The studies show good patient comfort with having learners present to faculty in the patient room and a preference for PIPP in the future. Learner perceptions were positive and faculty preferred PIPP for teaching, learning, patient care and time efficiency. The current study included a patient population with a high percentage of Medicaid patients, low health literacy and high rates of needing an interpreter.
