2. WHY ARE WE HERE? We are here to lead people in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

9. PERSONAL APPLICATION: Which of those words, or traits, or habits needs to grow in your life this year?

10. Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4 ) Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged. (Colossians 3:21 ESV)

11. “Bring Them Up In The Discipline And Admonition Of The Lord” The word for 'discipline / nurture' is the word for child training. Beware of thinking that grace means not caring about right or wrong or only being permissive.

1. I think that my rules, my wise parenting, and my training will produce godly children.

16. HOW TO RECOGNIZE AND HEAL A CLOSED SPIRIT -Avoids communication and contact whereas previously there was both. -Argumentative and resistant -Contrary to what you like or want

17. -Withdrawn -Seeks friends opposite to those you would want for him/ her -Disrespectful language -Drug use -Sexually permissive -Run away

18. TO REOPEN A CHILD’S SPIRIT
Become tender hearted
Increase understanding
Recognize the offense – action or attitude
Attempt to give an affectionate touch
Seek forgiveness

19. CONSIDER… I know that I cannot change the members of my family by my harsh and repeated corrections. DOES THIS SUGGESTION SEEM SIMPLISTIC—that when YOU are changed by the Gospel it has a powerful effect on the people around you?

20. People will be drawn to Christ when he shows Himself to them — through you Jesus was that one PERFECTLY HUMBLE Christian. His humility outdoes anything that we could ever IMAGINE.
