Satan convinces us to betray the Lord, and then he betrays us! Let us guard against the devices of Satan, lest we be eternally betrayed.

2. Judas Betrayed Jesus
Jesus knew that he would (John 6:64-71; Matthew 17:22-23; 20:18; Luke 9:44-45)
Satan used greed and covetousness to motivate Judas (John 12:4-6; 13:2; Mark 14:10; Luke 22:3-5; Matthew 26:15-16)
When did Judas know what he would do? When did he know that Jesus knew? (John 13:11-30; Matthew 26:24-25)
The betrayer was betrayed! (Matthew 27:3-5)

3. Others have been deceived by money, materialism & momentary pleasure
The rich man (Luke 16:19-23)
Ananias & Sapphira (Acts 5:1-3)
Those deceived by false teachers (2 Corinthians 11:14-15; 2 Peter 2:18-19; Ephesians 5:3-6; Galatians 6:7-8)
Those led astray by their own desires (James 1:14-16, 26)

4. “Little children, let no one deceive you
“Little children, let no one deceive you He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.  
He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:7-8)
