Corneal Biomechanical Properties and IOP Evaluation in patients with “Unilateral” Keratoconus Karolinne Maia Rocha, MD Wallace Chamon, MD Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil ASCRS 2008

2 Financial Disclosure Authors have no financial interest in any of the technologies described

3 Purpose To evaluate corneal hysteresis (CH), central corneal thickness (CCT), Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT), dynamic contour tonometry (DCT) and non-contact tonometry (air-puff tonometer - NCT) in patients with “unilateral” keratoconus.

4 Methods 10 patients with unilateral keratoconus and no other ocular diseases or previous ocular surgeries underwent to : ocular response analyser (ORA) goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) dynamic contour tonometry (DCT) non-contact tonometry (air-puff tonometer-NCT) central corneal thickness (CCT)

11 Conclusion The CCT, CH and intraocular pressure measured by GAT, NCT and ORA Goldmann-correlated IOP were consistently lower in the pronounced ectasic corneas when compared with the contralateral eyes. There were no statistically significant differences between ORAcc and DCT measurements.
