1 Players in the protein game
By Christian Noelker

2 Chromosome Found in the nucleus, tightly wound up DNA
Genes are sections of chromosomes, 46 chromosomes and 80,000 genes Part of transcription because each gene codes for a certain protein

3 DNA Found in the nucleus, all bases are the same but varies
DNA gets transcribed into mRNA

4 mRNA Found in cytoplasm and nucleus both
mRNA tells what protein to make

5 Amino acids Found in proteins
Over 20 different types and glycine is one Its what makes up proteins

6 Nucleus Transcription takes place in the nucleus
Found in the middle of the cell DNA is made into mRNA in there

7 Gene Genes are made of DNA and are sections of chromosomes
Control the way you look are inherited Genes are just a section Each genes are the directions for a protein

8 Ribosome Found in the cytoplasm usually attached to the endoplasmic reticulum Only one type in our body It attaches to mRNA in the cytoplasm so translation happens here

9 Anticodon Found on the tRNA It’s the opposite of a codon
Matches up with codons to make amino acids

10 Cytoplasm Found in the cell membrane
Roll is translation takes place inside cytoplasm Amino acids, mRNA, tRNA, ribosomes are all inside cytoplasm

11 Codon Codes for amino acids that make a protein
Found on mRNA and is a three letter chunk so in both cytoplasm and n nucleus

12 tRNA Found in the cytoplasm tRNA translate the mRNA to the ribosomes

13 RNA polymerase Found in the nucleus All polymerase is the same
Polymerase opens up the DNA to be transcribed into mRNA
