You’ll have 5 minutes to study one passage together – and then you will receive a new passage to study for 5 minutes – and then another passage to study together as a group for 5 minutes….

You’ll have 5 minutes to study the following passage as a group
D&C 84:54-58 Ask for a volunteer to share a brief testimony about the Book of Mormon. Sing, hum or whistle “Book of Mormon stories” together (with the actions) Ask each person to share a powerful or favorite scripture from the Book of Mormon.

You’ll have 5 minutes to study the following passage as a group
D&C 84:81-86, 106 Share missionary experiences you have had or some that your parents/siblings had on their mission Sing, hum or whistle “Called to Serve” together (hymn #249) Read D&C 4 together.

You’ll have 5 minutes to study the following passage as a group
D&C 85:1, 8-9, 11 See who in your group can name their: Bishop and his counselors Elder’s Quorum President and High Priest Group Leader Ward mission leader RS President and Primary President Ward Clerk Which of these men, according to D&C 85:1,9,11, will have a say on you getting into heaven? Cross reference and read Revelation 20:12–13. Mark the phrase “steadying the ark,” in D&C 85:8 then read about Uzzah in 2 Samuel 6:2–7. Discuss what that phrase “steadying the ark” means and how some people do it today.

D&C 86:1-7 Read the definition of tares in the Bible Dictionary (p. 780). After reading D&C 86: 4–7 discuss: ·Who does the wheat represent? ·Who do the tares represent? ·What words in verse 4 tell us that this parable applies to us? ·According to verse 6, why is the Lord waiting to separate the wheat from the tares? ·What evidence is there that the wheat and the tares are growing together today?

D&C 87:1-4 Discuss why the date of the revelation is ironic. Define a "holy place." Describe your personal ‘holy place’ and then read Doctrine and Covenants 87:8. List ways you can stand in holy places. Ask how many faithful Latter-Day Saints were killed in the Civil War. (answer= NONE) Why? They followed the prophet west and avoided the war.

Doctrine and Covenants 87:8 “Stand in Holy Places”

“Stand in holy places, and be not moved, until the day of the Lord come" (D&C 87:8). Holy men and women stand in holy places, and these holy places consist of our temples, our chapels, our homes, and stakes of Zion” (Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson, p. 106).
