1 Chapter 7 Decision Making

2 What to get out of this chapter
Understand two important points about decision making—that not making a decision is making a choice, and that most decisions can be changed. Discern the difference between long- and short-term goals and learn to take your hopes for the future into account when making daily decisions. Understand that before you can evaluate your choices, you need to discover the facts and determine the effect of these realities on the outcome for any of the options being considered. Evaluate the pros and cons and the likelihood of success of different choices. Learn how your own resources, wants, and needs should enter into the process of making major life decisions. Evaluate your decision-making strategies, strengths, and weaknesses. What to get out of this chapter
