Snapdragon™ S1 APQ7027A-based DragonBoard™ Quick Start Guide
The DragonBoard™ is intended to provide early access for development, testing, and optimization on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon™ platform to component vendors, suppliers, application developers, and universities. Installing the connectivity card and sensor card The connectivity (radio) card and the sensor card are from separate packages. Attach them to the carrier board by following these procedures. Using a screwdriver, carefully remove the plastic screws from the connectivity card mount point on the APQ7027A carrier board. Match the pins of the connectivity card to the holes of the carrier board. For more details on hardware functions, refer to the Snapdragon™ APQ7027A-based DragonBoard™ User Guide. Installing the connectivity card and sensor card (cont.) Power-on and battery recharge Gently push the pins into the holes to firmly attach the connectivity card. Using a screwdriver, tighten the plastic screws on the connectivity card. A rechargeable battery is used to supply power to the carrier board. It takes output power at 5V/2A DC through a wall outlet. Installing the battery Insert the rechargeable battery into the battery slot. Plug the battery cable into the battery connector on the carrier board. Make sure that the pins are aligned with the holes and push in the cable securely. Important: Ensure that the direction of the connectivity card matches the holes on the carrier board. Note: Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 to attach the sensor card . Installing the touchscreen display Connect the goldfinger to the back of the touchscreen with the pins on the board. Attach the touchscreen display to the carrier board by screwing the 4 screws into the back of the carrier board. Then fold over the small black flap. Recharging the battery Power Plug one end of the power adapter into a wall outlet and the other end into the DC-jack on the carrier board. Removing the battery When ready to remove the battery, unplug the battery cable and remove the battery from the battery slot. 1MP Camera Install the 1 MP camera in the slot as shown below. Powering on the DragonBoard Press the power button. When the Dragonboard is activated, a welcome message appears on the touchscreen panel.
