What is the event? Who’s going to be there?
Who would like to advertise at this event? Who can offer non-monetary support?

3. STEP Two: Set Expectations
What kind of support?
How much money is reasonable?
How many sponsors?

4. STEP Three: Meetings
/Telephone Calls/Face-to-Face

5. Step Four: Communication
Make sure your sponsor(s) know the timeline.
Do you need the money before the event? Can you wait until after the event?
Does the sponsor want to present the money?

6. STEP Five: Gratitude Thank your sponsor.
Have your principal write a letter. Letter should include number of hours, non-cash and cash support.
Frequent their business and keep in touch for next year.
