5. Physical Change
A physical change is a change that alters the form or appearance of a substance, but does not change the identity of the substance
A substance that undergoes a physical change is still the SAME substance after the change – it still has the same properties
Ex/ change of state (melting, freezing, etc.), change in shape or form, dissolving

6. Chemical Changes
A chemical change results in a new substance (or new substances) being produced - as a result of a chemical reaction. The new substance(s) will have different properties compared to the original substance Ex/ Iron rusting – (rust is a new substance)
