10 Homework Students will write daily homework assignments in their planners. Upcoming tests, quizzes and projects will be noted in the Third Grade Weekly Update as well as in the planner. Please check and sign the planner daily. Look for teacher notes or missing homework reminders.

11 Level of Proficiency for Mastery Level of proficiency for mastery is based on class work and participation. Assessments will be given in the form of paper/pencil tasks (a quick snapshot of progress), online assessments as well as performance tasks. Benchmark Report Card Achievement Levels: 4 – Consistently demonstrates concepts and skills of standard taught this quarter 3 - Usually demonstrates concepts and skills of standard taught this quarter 2 – Sometimes demonstrates concepts and skills of standard taught this quarter 1 – Rarely demonstrates concepts and skills of standard taught this quarter

12 Communication Daily Planner Third Grade Weekly Update is sent home every FRIDAY! **We would like to send this communication electronically to reduce the amount of paper traveling from school to home. 13 Behavior Our Class Promise Time Out –Time to refocus and reflect on behaviors, plan for rejoining group, not a punishment! Incident Reports –Children will complete an Incident Report when not following the class promise. They are asked to reflect on the situation that happened and what they would do differently the next time in accordance with our class promise. –Please sign these incident report slips and return it to school with your child the next day. Note/Call from Teacher Every day is a fresh start!
