September 20, 2011 A car is traveling at 60 km/hr.
If it travels 15,000 m, how long (min) does it take? If it travels for 48 min, how far does it travel? A ball rolls 10 m downhill for 45 sec What is the speed in m/min?

September 19, 2011 When you finish with your test: work on the bellringers below, then pick up the new lab packet. Work on your homework (in Unit 2 HW pkt). Explain this statement: Velocity is to speed as displacement is to distance. An object is traveling at 35 mi/hr. If it travels 70 mi, how long (hr) does it take? If it travels for 3600 min, how far does it travel?

What are some key words used when we describe motion?
Example of a Vector Quantity: any quantity that specifies direction and magnitude (number) Arrows are often used to represent the direction of a vector quantity.
4
What are some key words used when we describe motion?
The size of the arrow represents the magnitude of the quantity Ex. Bigger arrow would mean the object was moving faster than one represented with a smaller arrow
