Let’s look at one I think this part of the story is important because it shows that Harvey realizes he lost something important. This is the problem that Harvey faces. He has to decide whether or not to try and go back and save his lost time.

Now to bump it up… This part of the story is important because it shows that Harvey realizes he has lost years while in Holiday House. That’s a big problem that Harvey faces and it introduced as soon as he recognizes his mom. Since Wendell also has this realization, this part also sets up how much Harvey wants Wendell’s help, but won’t get it later in the story. This will be important to the theme because one thing the story teaches is that you can’t judge everything by the way it looks.
6
And once more… This part of the story clarifies what the Holiday House actually costs Harvey, the main character. It shows that while Wendell wants his time back, he isn’t as strong and determined as Harvey. It proves this when Wendell and Harvey go back to the Holiday house and Wendell immediately want the food he smells. He is under the houses spell again. By Harvey resists. It shows the true problem that nothing is free, and sometimes the prices is steep. Harvey is showing us that if you truly want something, you need to be strong and keep focused on your goal.
