The #1 obstacle is funding. We are collecting information about grants for computers in schools. We also are starting a letter-writing campaign to companies such as Dell, HP, and Apple to see what support they can offer.

We would like to work further with you to develop a plan for our school. 1. For the first year, invest in laptops for 10% of the student population and offer them to check out during school or after school. 2. Institute a waiting list and/or a lottery to decide who gets to check out the laptops. 3. Work with School Tech Club to secure student volunteers for maintenance of the laptops. 4. Develop set of rules and a student agreement form that students and parents must sign. 5. Revisit plan in the Spring to see if more computers can be purchased, with a goal of having enough for every student.
