Show how they will have views of their different children all in one location here and can switch back and forth. Have parents actually log in on their devices or computers if they have them with them to show it in action.

Show how parents need to click on the clipboard next to the name of the course in order to see that teacher’s plans for their student

9. Remind Parents that they will only be able to see what is on the planner from their view. They will need to log in as their student if they want a more detailed view of their child’s course.

10. Remember….
You can see what has been planned but do not have access to files.
You can see if your child has visited sections of the planner via class reports but…
Chow how the bar graph icon can take them to all the files in their child’s course, but it doesn’t mean it is always an assignment that they HAVE to read.

11. Class Reports
This view shows how sometimes a resource can be posted for a child, but they may have not had to read it or they may have worked collaboratively with another student to see this resource and they were not logged in as them selves when they viewed it. Showing this example form Mrs. Bruce’s course is a greta way to help parents understand this.
We don’t know if any of these were actually assigned…only that they have not been read. It could be there just for reference or for kids who were absent.

Go through this slide and actually pull up itslearning as a student on your computer to show how students have access to all the things in your course. Show them where the students access the planner and how students can go back and forth from different courses they are enrolled in (upper grades show how departmentalized segments are different course and lower grades make sure you show how students can get to the specials teachers classes from their course as well)
