WP2 Creation of a web tool for feeding and viewing the data base for the economic part of the ECOST model Can Tho ECOST meeting September, 6-10th, 2009
2
Reminding What exist ? A model A data format (the last version of the SAM matrix) A MS access© database for gathering data on a local PC (presented at the Amsterdam meeting, available on the ECOST project website) What is required now? A web tool to feed, to use and to view the data base on line, from every place
3
The links between the PC endusers, the ECOST website and the ECOSTdatabase
Entering data into the datbase Viewing data, importing data from the database
4
The application which is under development stage: some examples of end-user screens
5
The end user can chose the type of session: adding data or only viewing data
6
He chose the country dataset (here there are only two data sets available)
7
The end user select a table that he want to fill (in case of a « add data » )
8
The table to be filled appears on the end user PC, as an MS EXCEL files
9
The end user fills the table and he save it temporarily (as an EXCEL files) on its own PC
10
The user send the completed data file to the database.
He can leave the job for a moment and close the session …
11
.. or he can move to another table to be filled (here is a nomenclature table)
12
Another example of table to be filled (here is a data table)
13
Another example of table to be filled (another data table)
14
Viewing a nomenclature table within a view session : example
15
Another example of viewing a table (data table)
16
Next stages To implement the upper webtool for data base gathering and viewing from every places To make a connection between the webtool and the model-simulator, and a possibility to launch a « simulation » (societal-cost computing) through the ECOST website
