2. Every nation has its features of culture, and the essence of wisdom emerges out of saying. From Taiwan’s adages, we can find the character of simple, forthright and sincere in the early society. They not only embellish much of humor and “ridicule ourselves”, but also imply care and vigilance. So a lot of proverbial sayings become beneficial mottos to us.

3. Taiwanese is also our mother tongue
Taiwanese is also our mother tongue. It has very graceful rhyme, and elegant diction, especially the idiom—Taiwan’s adages are even more the beauty in Taiwanese. Taiwan’s adages not only rhyme delicately and read smoothly, but also hold earlier people’s wisdom crystal in store. A good deal principles in lives can show forth in obvious and brief words.

4. Proverbs are the accumulation of people’s life experience
Proverbs are the accumulation of people’s life experience. Whatever the culture of one society develops to an established stage, all of the people are able to use this kind of special language that reflect people’s viewpoint, feeling, experience and character adequately. These fun, rhyme, and simple words are on behalf of great majority of people’s thoughts, and spread easily owing to being pleasant to hear and memorize.

5. The followings are my introduce of some good and meaningful proverbs.

6. 細漢偷挽匏，大漢偷牽牛
If one man was a “small” thief in his childhood, he often will be a “big” thief when he grows up. So we should correct our bad habits the earlier the better, don’t let them become worse.

7. 在生一粒豆，卡贏死了拜豬頭
Children showing filial piety and respect for the parents when they are alive is better than worshiping them with a pig’s head after dying. So, we must take good care of our parents, or it’s too late when they’re dead.
好天，著存雨來糧
It means that we should understand savings to provide against a rainy day.

8. Taiwan proverbs are wisdom words that our ancestors spread in long-term. They are our very valuable property of culture. Therefore, we should remember these proverbs and propagate them.
