Homework Homework will be completed in a homework book this year.
We expect the same standard as would be expected in school. Please follow the presentation guidance in the book. If the work is not up to standards children will be asked to re-write in their own time. Children should be given a sensible amount of time to complete their homework - we are after quality rather than quantity. This year there will be a focus of spellings, with sentences, times tables, maths and reading 5 times a week. Spellings: Lists handed out on Friday (some on school website) LCSWC Spelling test on Friday Curriculum spellings will be on the website, weekly spellings will be in the books Homework book: Given out on Friday Handed in on Wednesday If a child is struggling with any aspect of the homework please contact the class teacher or send them back in with their homework. In addition to this some children may be a given a small amount of extra homework to support their learning. JF

Please let your children walk round by themselves.
1st Day Children will come in at 8.45 as they are currently which is via the gate outside of FS and walk past Y1/2 and onto the playground into the Y3/4 classes. Please let your children walk round by themselves. Registration at 8:55am. At 3.30 the children will walk on the path around the hall to the top of the drive where they will look for who is picking them up. They must tell the teacher and will then be allowed to leave. If somebody else is picking the children up that is not a parent this should be communicated through the office who will pass this information on to class teachers. If this is not communicated to staff they will bring the child back in with them so phone calls may be made. If they are in club, they will need to be collected from club so that they can be signed out as normal.
