Personal Files NOT To Be Backed Up You MAY create a folder OUTSIDE of My Documents. –Files in this folder will NOT be backed up Right click at the Desktop and select New/Folder

Backing Up MY Files?? Laptop Files NOT automatically backed up Run Backup regularly – Click Laptop Icon Do all of your work on your laptop Desktop Any changes to files must be moved to laptop via USB memory stick

Shut Down vs. Closing the Lid Shut Down: –At end of the day –Leaving the building Close the Lid –Transporting around the school –When not attended in school (Or Lock the Computer with Ctrl+Alt+Del, Lock Computer) DO NOT Carry by the screen

Standalone Mode Log in as if you are at school When you are not connected to the school network, you still have access to your files Sync your laptop files with the server (H:) using the Backup Data Files in the Laptop icon

Guidelines Security Installing software on your laptop –Must have a license –Backup data first. –If your laptop encounters a problem, and needs to be re-images, ALL software you installed will be lost Support –Call Tech Services
