What is behavior? Defined as “conduct or action”.
Behavior in animals is the individual or group actions which take place in animals in order to allow them to live and function in their environment. “Ethology” is the study of animal behavior.

Anthropomorphism…what the heck is it?
Attributing human characteristics to animals. It can be a problem, when observing animals, to use phrases and comments which do not reveal anything about what is actually happening I.e. “The bull is mad”, “someone made him angry” These statements tell us nothing about the behavior, they simply project human emotions to animals.

Don’t get me wrong… This is not to say that animals have no feelings or emotions! Animals experience pain, hunger, fear and rage along with other emotions including stress and excitement. The bottom line is that we need to record what we observe objectively without interpreting the results until later
