4. Stegner – “Coda: Wilderness Letter”
On notebook paper: identify and analyze two quotes from the text. Pick meaningful sections which indicate key ideas of Stegner’s letter, and in your analysis, explain what the author says, how he constructs his idea, and how it connects to the text as a whole.
Discuss the elements of the rhetorical précis with your table group. Take notes for future use.

5. Limerick – “The Headline Frontier”
Briefly review the text and your annotations. Discuss the key ideas with your partner/table group
On the same notebook paper as your Stegner quote analysis: Answer “For Discussion” questions #1-3 on page 594. Use embedded textual evidence to support your responses.
