Directions to the Goddard Geophysical and Astronomical Observatory (GGAO)
From the GSFC Main Gate (~10 minute drive): Turn LEFT onto Greenbelt Road (Route 193) and travel ~ 0.9 miles to the second traffic light. Turn LEFT onto Good Luck Road at the light, travel though the first light and continue on Soil Conservation road, traveling ~3.6 miles to the end. Turn RIGHT onto Powder Mill Road and travel ~0.4 miles. Turn RIGHT onto Springfield road and travel ~ 1.2 miles. A tall chain linked fence will appear on the left which is the GGAO facility. Turn LEFTat the GGAO main gate which is at the top of the small hill. At the gate, if someone isn’t there to let you in, call optical site cell, or Jan or Bud. Travel to the top of the hill and park.
