Challenges Dealing safely and effectively with high volume/high acuity complex presentations through ED and other services including >60% from out of area Meeting NEAT targets when patient flows highest through the smallest number of beds in NSW 130 separations/mth, ALOS 10 days, PECC and Caritas ~ 4pts/bed/ mth cf peers 2.5 Keeping services safe and person focused, trauma informed and recovery oriented Lack of community based accommodation options Differing governance, business models, culture and language of MHS, ADS, NGOs and GPs IT and Privacy challenges Discontinuity between Federal, State and LHD funding systems Adaptation to new funding systems NDIS, PHN, ABF, Social Impact Bonds Collaborative vs competitive incentives

Target Population Vulnerable people residing in inner city Sydney with persistent mental illnesses, co-existing disorders and who often suffer homelessness and other social adversities
