迷信 has a very long history in China and it happens when people don’t have enough knowledge of modern science.
Different types of superstition includes fortune telling, the belief of existence of ghosts, the belief of certain so-called medicine, and many, many others.
In modern China, Fengshui is considered to be a form of superstition by some people. Even Buddhism and Taoism are sometimes believed to be superstition.
