Some Significant Figures
94% of 65 fatalities (8 were discounted for this statistic) occurred with the parachutist having at least one good parachute on his/her back 60% of 65 fatalities occurred after the successful deployment of the main parachute 23% of fatalities might have been avoided by AAD use 90% of fatalities would appear to have been caused by human error 8 of the 73 Fatalities were First Jump Students

DISTRIBUTION OF REPORTS
Some Trends Increased use of AAD Round Main Canopies being used less Big movement towards Tandem jumping. DISTRIBUTION OF REPORTS Report, along with 2002 AAD Report, has been sent by to all respondents and to all other countries for which we have addresses. Hard copies and CDs are now available for delegates.
