7 6th Grade Project Based Learning through
Forensic Investigations Science Begins Sequence For All Subject Areas. Focus on physical properties of matter. Students will be presented with a crime scene in which they will need to determine what happened based on observations, data collection, and physical properties of the evidence.

8 Lab Procedures Given to each student, a Lab Safety Contract with Lab Procedures and Policies Will be posted on ebackpack. Student will be tested over it next week. First test next week. Classroom Policies and Procedures given in Syllabus. It will be posted on ebackpack also.

9 Grading Policy Tests/Projects = 50% Labs & Quizzes = 35%
Homework/classwork = 15%

10 Homework: eBackpack, website, planner
Whenever we do a laboratory investigation, if student doesn’t complete in class…must complete for homework. My assignments will be posted on ebackpack for students to access online when they are absent. In doing hands-on laboratory investigations we will also have student using a composition book as a science journal this year.
