The direction of travel is about enabling community pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to become more integrated into primary and urgent care to improve the quality of care for patients.
This would involve:
Working in new roles in a wider range of settings (GP surgeries, care homes, urgent care centers), supported by better technology
Helping to improve the quality of care for patients as part of long-term condition care pathways
Making greater use of community pharmacists’ clinical skills and the skills of pharmacy technicians
