8 Facilities design for Good Dispensing
It is said that human beings usually make mistakes because the systems, tasks and processes they work within are poorly designed. Effective design can deliver products, services, processes and environments that are convenient and comfortable, and consequently less error-prone Hence to implement GDP, the types and design of facilities ; the qualifications and number of personnel, and a quality management system (SOPs, CAPA, Performance Monitoring) are required. With regard to the qualifications and training of personnel, suffice to say that besides qualified pharmacists, qualified technicians and assistants are essential. All staff members should be provided with in-service training based on a need assessment and the strategic plan of the pharmacy. The issue of the adequacy (number) of staff members will be dealt with later. 12/6/2018
