Dry bean contracting and planting summary
Pinto / Black bids first to move Price support in time to increase acres slightly White bean bids last to improve – too late vs. Soy, Canola, Lentil, Peas, etc.. Plantings sharply lower on Navy and small reduction on GNB Planting - Alberta early / Manitoba on time / Ontario very dry some delays Acreage stagnant last decade approx. 300k / yr.
