Short and medium term plan: (not necessarily a sequential list of actions)
- Visit/discussion with Plansee (25 Nov 2013) - Define brazing parameters of W shielding on BS - Prototype brazing and validate (LN2 thermal chock) - Launch 1m-long prototype of cold-bore (CB) with 304L SS BS, to study achievable tolerances - Procure P506 SS - Launch 8m-long prototype with CB, real P506 BS - Carry out precise estimate of cryogenic exergy losses, and related modifications (if necessary) to cryo-circuit and loops - Cold-test 8m-long prototype?... - All this compatibly with… (P. Fessia, RLIUP workshop, Nov 2013)… 12/6/2018 WP3 – Magnets for Insertion Regions
