2 Size A gray tiger salamander grows to be centimeters and a maximum of 30 centimeters.

3 Appearance The gray tiger salamander is green/grey with black stripes. It is slimy.

4 Special Body Part The gray tiger salamander’s tail can regrow if it falls off.

5 What It Eats The gray tiger salamander eats insects, worms, spiders, slugs, and other amphibians.

6 Habitat The gray tiger salamander lives under rocks and logs and places like that.

7 What it does in the winter
In the winter it buries itself under the dirt and hibernates.

8 Life Cycle They start out in an egg and then they hatch when they grow there arms and legs, and then they grow up. Eventually they die.

9 Enemies and protection
The gray tiger salamander enemy is a pelican. They protect themself with their camouflage skin.

10 Other Information The gray tiger salamanders use their smell for locating others in ponds and streams.
