7 Airlift: Symbol? Eastern Western Hope
It symbolized a time of struggle not only with sides but within countries for power. Stalin made the Berlin blockade (closing the land route into the city) his open, provocative, and threatening repudiation of all the Allied agreements made during WWII. Eastern Western Hope

Communism pushes back August 13th: “Shock workers from East Germany shock off border with barbed wire West Taken by surprise and openly protest the Russians August 16th: Barbed Wire taken down and replaced by a 4 meter high, 111 kilometer long wall

14 Berlin wall is falling down
Many East Germans shot in attempt of escape Explained Wall as “keeping out West spies” Luckily as Communism collapses and the Cold War ends… The wall is publically destroyed by overjoyed Germans, united again.
